Our family is very fond of tomatoes, so most of the beds in the country are given specifically for this crop. Every year we try to try new interesting varieties, and some of them take root and become loved. However, over many years of gardening, we have already formed a set of favorite varieties that are required to be planted in each season. We jokingly call such tomatoes “special-purpose” varieties. These varieties and hybrids are ideal for everyone in a specific situation, because the scope of tomatoes is very wide.5 best tomatoes for fresh salads, salting, juice and long-term storage
Numerous varieties of tomatoes differ in size, color, taste and texture. With this in mind, each of them can find the ideal field of application, where a variety or hybrid will show its best side.
Immediately I would like to draw the attention of readers to the fact that, depending on the growing conditions, any cultivated plants can manifest themselves in different ways. We grow tomatoes in the Central Black Earth region, in the Voronezh region. In addition, the assessment of taste is exclusively subjective, therefore, the article does not claim to be absolute truth and is for reference only.
1. Tomato "Bella Rosa F1" - the best tomatoes for fresh salads
What could be tastier than a juicy meaty tomato from your own garden? Tomato is one of the most beloved vegetables in our family, and, first of all, we prefer to eat this vegetable as food in fresh form.Tomato "Bella Rosa F1". @ Lyudmila Svetlitskaya
The main requirements that are usually presented to salad tomatoes: medium or large size, even color, mouth-watering appearance, dense sweet flesh. In our opinion, hybrid tomato "Bella Rosa" meets the most similar request. This hybrid was developed by the Japanese company Sakata, and in 2008 it was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation as recommended for cultivation in open ground.
According to the type of growth, tomato belongs to the determinant, according to the manufacturer, the bush reaches a size of 80 centimeters. (But in our conditions, it never grew above 60 centimeters). Bushes "Belosa" can be distinguished even from afar - they are very powerful stocky and well leafy.
This variety is recommended to be formed in two stems, but, according to our observations, the hybrid does not need to normalize the number of stems or to remove stepsons, since it perfectly forms a good crop on its own. The only necessary measure is the removal of powerful leaves so that they do not obscure the ripening crop.
The fruits of the Bela Rosa hybrid are literally as if from a picture: one-dimensional, weighing from 150 to 300 grams (we grew 200 grams on average), of a regular flat-round shape, a pleasant uniform dark red color, without ugly green spots on the stalk. In this case, the flesh inside is slightly pinkish.
The fruits are highly resistant to sunburn and cracking, tolerate heat and slight drought. For those who sell surplus crops, this hybrid is ideal, as buyers usually choose with their eyes, and Bela Rosa’s looks are incredibly delicious.
It is quite to match the appearance and taste of these tomatoes, the fruits of the hybrid are very harmonious - moderately sweet, juicy and fleshy. The ripening period is average - 80-95 days from germination to the start of harvesting.
I would also like to note the high resistance to diseases. (Although we carry out preventive treatment for all varieties of tomatoes). The yield of tomato "Bela Rosa" on our site is very high annually.
The disadvantages of the tomato hybrid "Bela Rosa"
Some gardeners argue that any hybrid tomatoes, having an attractive appearance, lose in taste when compared with varietal tomatoes. Perhaps there are varieties with a more expressive tomato flavor, but for our family there have not been any. I can’t single out other shortcomings of Bela Rosa tomatoes.
